Sri Vyas Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, Raghunathpur, Kullu has been continuously committed for the last 30 years to the preservation, promotion and dissemination of Sanatan Indian Vedic knowledge.
It would also be relevant here to indicate the unmatched ideal of service to knowledge that the volunteer Sanskrit scholars and Sanskrit patrons have presented for the running of the college in this materialistic, fallen era. It was these self-serving Pandits who first donated their body, mind and wealth.
Sri Vyas Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya (SVSM)
The brain child of Dr. Sri Acharya ji, who by his master’s inspiration and motivation started this college in the year 1995 with two students . Though Sri Acharya ji, has been offered coveted and honored positions in renowned and prestigious institutions to serve, for his extensive and knowledge, command over the Sanskrit language, he renounced every position to dedicate his life for the mission of reviving tradition and culture of Vedas and sanatana dharma. Hence as initial step started this Vidyala.

Operating in Sri Raghunathpur temple complex since 1995 for the last 28 years.
Organizing a seven-day astrology and rituals camp in the year 1996. This camp was organized by Himachal Pradesh Education Directorate, Shimla. In this, the importance and uses of astrology and rituals were explained to 150 trainees, and they were also given certificates in this regard by the Directorate of Education.
Achievement of Ms. Sonia, the topper student of Prach Shastri second year in the session 2011 (Gold Medal).
State level recitation competition (organized by Himachal Sanskrit Academy) d. Getting first position by Shubham on 18/12/2015
First place Ku. Himani won the national level Sanskrit speech competition organized by the National Sanskrit Institute. 28/12/2016, Successfully participated in Agartala, the capital of Tripura.
01/12/2017: In the session 2016–17, the state-level speech competition was organized by the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, run under the Ministry of Human Resources, at Sanskrit Vidyapeeth Garli, Kangra (H.P.). Two students, Ms. Ambra and Ms. Sonia, participated.
14/09/2018: State-level Hindi Day competition (District Language Department, Shimla) d. Srishti got a commendable position in essay writing.
In the state-level speech competition organized by the Ministry of Human Resources in the session 2018–19, two students of Sanskrit Vidya Peeth Garli, Anita, and Manju, got the second position and Monica Thakur, Kusumalata got the first position.
07/01/2019 to 09/01/2019: Ms. Monica Thakur and Kusumalata represented the college and Himachal Pradesh in the National Classical Speech Competition organized by the National Sanskrit Institute in Tripura.
College alumnus Purshottam Lal Thakur got admission as a PhD student in Sri Lal Bahadur Shastri Sanskrit University (Central University), New Delhi, in the session 2019–20.
Ambika Maharpa, a former student of the college, is pursuing PhD from Garli Vidyapeeth, Kangra, run by the National Sanskrit Institute, New Delhi, from the session 2019.

26/06/2022: Successful organization and participation in Kabir Das Jayanti Celebration, Atal Sadan, Dhalpur, Kullu, HP.
15/09/2022: Successful organization and participation in Hindi Fortnight, Atal Sadan, Dhalpur, Kullu, HP.
10–11/08/2022: Successful organization and participation in State-Level Sanskrit Day Celebration, Jwala Ji Kangra, HP.
11/09/2022: Successful organization and participation in State-level Hindi Diwas function, Gaiety Theatre, Shimla, HP.
10/03/2023: Successful organization and participation in the State-level cultural function, Sri Maa Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, Jwalamukhi Kangra, Haryana.
College alumnus Purshottam Lal Thakur received the degree of PhD in 2023.
In the last 28 years, 1529 Vishisht Shastris and 121 Prabhakars passed.
Exam result for 25 years is 92%.
Till now, more than 100 alumni of the college are serving in the government sector. And more than 200 students are continuously making important contributions in public welfare work by providing their services in rituals and the non-government sector.
