In August 2004, the college was registered as Sri Swami Madhavanand Saraswati Vedavidya Research Institute under the auspicious of the renowned social worker and the then president of the organization, Sri C.R. Rashpa.
Research Programs
After being registered as a research institute, the scope of the college also widened. The institute provided support in research work to the following students/teachers in this field –

Supporting Scholars
In this way, one Hindi and seven Sanskrit scholars have received their degrees with the support of the institute.
- Till now, the founder of the college, Dr. Om Kumar Sharma, has successfully read and written more than fifty research papers related to Sanskrit and other subjects in state, national and international level conferences.
- Grammarian (A.P.) of the college, Mr. Jhabe Ram Thakur has so far successfully read ten research papers related to Sanskrit subject in state, national and international level conferences.
- Successful reading of six research papers related to Sanskrit subject in state, national and international level conferences by Sri Hari Chand Thakur, a former senior student of the college and currently working in the government sector.
- Assistant Professor (A.P.) of the college, Dr. Purushottam Lal Thakur has till now presented 7 research papers at the State & National level.
- The research papers of Dr. Purshottam Lal Thakur were published. Secured place and getting published in prestigious research journals of international level recognition.
- Till date, Dr. Purshottam Lal Thakur has successfully participated in about ten workshops at national and international level
